Oojudoo is the way forward in ladies hairdressing. Oojudoo is a salon that cares, not only about making you look and feel amazing, but about the planet too.
We not only use all vegan products on the hair, but the shop itself. Even the paint on the walls is vegan friendly. We make every effort to ensure that we have a low impact on the environment because we believe that looking good should not cost the earth.
The owner trained in Pembrokeshire College and then moved to London where she furthered her skill set with Academy Training. Her husband is a barber who runs a barbershop next door and teaches in Cardigan College. They met in Newcastle Emlyn in 1999, moved to London, then to Australia and across parts of the UK, working in salons and learning new skills. Wanting to settle down and start a family, they returned to Wales in 2007 and opened their first salon and barbershop on the high street in Cardigan. Oojudoo and Oojufink opened their doors bringing with them new skills and ideas that challenged the norm.
In 2019 Oojudoo moved to North Road in Cardigan where the owners and their three children live above the shop. The shop was built mainly by them using reclaimed wood and ethically and environmentally sourced materials.
